Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

| Historic baseline year prior to commencement of numerous carbon reduction initiatives.
Some historic figures were not available for the Aldridge facility. These were addressed as below. Gas Heating. There is a single gas heater at the warehouse facility. All other heating is electric. We have used the actual figures from the first Reporting Year ending 30th April 2023, as the area being heated has not changed. Waste disposal. This is linked to activity levels, therefore we have extrapolated this figure by comparing annual revenues for the Baseline year and Reporting year ending 30th April 2023, using actual data from Reporting year ending 30th April 2023. Transport. Some of the hauliers used during the Baseline year were unable to provide CO2 data. For these, we used actual CO2 data provided by other hauliers delivering an identical service and applied this to the routes in question. Employee commuting. Data on employee commuting methods was not available for the Baseline year. We therefore applied the ratio between employee numbers in the Baseline Year and employee numbers in the Reporting year ending 30th April 2023, using actual data from Reporting year ending 30th April 2023 |

Emissions reduction targets
In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to 370 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 3.6%

Carbon Reduction Projects
The following environmental management measures and carbon reduction initiatives have been implemented since the 2019/20 baseline and have helped to reduce CST Pharma’s emissions from 721 tCO2e to 384 tCO2e. The current reduction from baseline is 337 tCO2e (46.7%).
- Solar panel array installed at the company site to reduce reliance on purchased electricity 2024/25.
- Air source heat pumps installed in office areas to aid lower-carbon heating.
- Internal and external LED lights installed to increase site efficiency.
- Lighting controls and motion sensors installed to prevent unnecessary electricity use.
- Cycle to Work scheme introduced and continuing to aid lower-carbon travel.
- Transition of company car fleet to electric vehicles. Most company cars are electric as of 2024/25.
- On-site electric vehicle charging points installed to increase use of electric vehicles now also benefit from installed solar panels.
- Energy-efficient PCs and IT improvements to aid lower-carbon use.
- Electronic signature systems expanded, further reducing the need for printed documentation.
- Use of 60gsm paper instead of standard 80gsm, supporting ongoing reduction of paper usage.
Planned Carbon Reduction Initiatives:
- Introduction of a new ERP and warehouse management system planned for June 2025, expected to reduce paper usage and improve operational efficiency.
- CST Pharma Ltd has commenced a program of sequestering carbon out of our atmosphere by a program of tree planting, as part of its wider environmental improvement programme and in support of longer-term sustainability objectives.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard¹ and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting².
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard³.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
